Nutrient dynamics in temperate grassland: Symbiotic N2 fixation, white clover, red clover, ryegrass, simulation studies, phosphorus and potassium deficiency, simple empirical models, rhizodeposition, nitrogen transfer, interspecific competition.

Nutrient dynamics in intercropped maize and pigeonpea in the tropics: Symbiotic N2 fixation, genotypic variation, phosphorus dynamics, litter fall, farmers' livelihood, farmers' preferences, simulation studies, on-farm studies.

Product quality and intercropping: Mineral content, vitamine content, protein content, grain legumes, fodder legumes, chicory, beans.
